The downfall of ABS-CBN is not the fault of New Anime and J-Pop in the Philippines

The downfall of ABS-CBN is not the fault of New Anime and J-Pop in the Philippines.

Before celebrating the downfall of ABS-CBN on May 5, perhaps one of the events that Filipino Anime/J-Pop Fans will never forget is the victory over ABS-CBN, along with the Duterte Administration's action in shutting down the said network.

So we remember the sins of ABS-CBN in the 2010's, because one of the things that was done to crush the Anime/J-Pop Fandom back then was one of the complex events here which are the following:

1. After the silence of the first Filipino kpop fans, after several years of defeating kpop and kdrama in the 2000's, before heading straight into the 2010's, ABS-CBN aired one of the killers of Anime, the Korean drama Boys Over Flowers, which was the first kdrama that ruined the way Filipinos went to Anime/J-Pop Fandom. Due to the F4 phenomenon in the Philippines, Anime died in the markets, even in stores in the Philippines.

2. Prioritizing the shounen genre of Anime in Team Animazing (they only picked up a few, but only selectively).

3. Mr. Bean in September 2013, and after that incident, two Mr. Beans in the morning (one on March 10, and one on March 31), in the same month of March 2014.

4. Killing of Anime Programming on April 14, 2014, because of the show "Kapamilya Blockbusters", which caused the morning movie to prioritize young viewers, and even Filipino families.

5. The airing of a teleserye related to teen pregnancy in 2014, such as Bagito, so many Filipino women among the youth are imitated by such shows and are encouraged to start a family at a young age. But what ABS-CBN's teleserye has done is only to make Filipino youth believe that.

6. The airing of teleseryes with the theme of "husband fight", such as the show "The Legal Wife", where many Filipinos and Filipino Netizens become jealous of such shows, some imitate them, and some enjoy such shows. So why are Filipino Anime/J-Pop Fans not really happy with such shows, because many Filipino couples and young people imitate such shows, so that they can ruin their lives.

7. Mr. Bean again in 2016, for a reason, to reserve time for Naruto Shippuden.

8. Team Animazing's disappearance from the air in 2016, due to the extension of the time of a morning talk show (previously until 8:30 AM, now until 9:00 AM), which was only a reason to avoid Anime, and they reserved the time for blockbuster movies in the morning.

9. In 2018, January 31, 11:59 PM to February 1, 12:00 AM, ABS-CBN continued to kill the Tagalog dubbed Anime Channel HERO TV off the air, allegedly due to "lack of advertisement support", but its advertisers were betting their profits on teleseryes, Asian dramas, movies, children's shows, etc...

10. After the ten-year phenomenon of "Boys Over Flowers" in 2009, in 2019, ABS-CBN's Asianovela grew stronger, so they prioritized Korean dramas over Anime.

Because, ABS-CBN was shut down, because of the sin they committed in front of Filipino Anime/J-Pop Fans.

If their station hadn't done that, they would have still been able to air Anime without them rejecting it. But it's too late for ABS-CBN to forgive Filipino Anime/J-Pop Fans, what they did is what they did.

It's hard to bring Anime back on the air, because of the wrong way to air the program to the youth.

It's easy to introduce New Anime to Filipino children and youth, but it's too late, because they've become a trend among normies or normienoys.

It's hard to make Filipinos listen to J-Pop music, because they introduced Korean and American music, as well as our own.

So the downfall of ABS-CBN is no longer the fault of Anime and J-Pop, it's the fault of ABS-CBN. He can't blame Anime and J-Pop for the stupid things he did.

We Filipino Anime/J-Pop Fans are the winners. ABS-CBN is the one who died from the sin caused by his stupidity.

Because New Anime and J-Pop continue to shine, until now.

Rather than remaining nothing, Anime and J-Pop will remain, until the last breath of our lives.

So let's forget ABS-CBN, embrace Anime and J-Pop, to unite with countries that recognize and enjoy Anime and J-Pop around the world.
